If there is a time during the year that you might need some one to pick up your child from school, we're here to help. Your child can participate in the after school program when you need it. Contact us by email at afterschoolps196@gmail.com the day before your child needs coverage or call 339-788-7797 between 9am-11am on the day you need coverage.

Have your child bring in a check or money order made out to After School Program PS 196 for $25.00 and a written note giving us permission to pick up your child from his/her class, including an emergency contact number and give it to their teacher in a sealed envelope the morning that coverage is needed.

How it works:
One of our staff will pick up your child at dismissal time and bring them to the gym. Once attendance is taken, we head to the cafeteria for a snack. All attendees for that day will be divided up into different classes and will participate until 4:45pm. We will place your child in an age-appropriate activity. 4:45pm to 5:45pm will be home work time, and 5:45pm to 6pm is dismissal time. You will then come to the main entrance and sign your child out.

Important: Rules and procedures must be followed exactly as stated or your child will not be admitted to the program. This must be adhered to for the safety of the children.
