The Scholarship Fund Program was conceived to open the after school program to families with limited incomes. We believe Be Cool at After School must give our children the opportunity to participate in the program regardless of the income status of their families. Selected students will get a 50% discount of total session cost.

To be considered for the After School Scholarship Fund, applicants must comply with the following requirements (all considerations must apply):

1. Only students enrolled on a full time basis (Mondays to Fridays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM pick up) will be considered.

2. Students must be part of the free lunch program presently at P.S. 196 (All incoming kindergarten students are not elegible until Spring semester 2009)

3. Parents must provide proof of family income (Copy of Year 2008 Federal Tax Income Return)

4. Applications must be filled out and submitted by time of registration (Deadline: September 8, 2009). The number of Scholarship Fund participants is limited. Click here to download application form.

FEES, PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND GENERAL INFORMATION

• The total cost of the session for scholarship participants will be $1000.00 plus $50.00 registration fee. Payments will be divided in two (2) parts: First payment due at the time of registration for the Spring Session for $550.00 (half cost of total session plus after school program registration fee) and second payment due by November 1, 2009 for $500.00

• Students selected into this program will be notified in writing by September 8, 2009

• Deposit fees are non-refundable after the beginning of the session if you decide to retire your child from the after school program.
